The Midwife's Role in Preventing and Healing Birth Trauma

  • Parents Place (back room) 87 Boundary Road Hamilton, Waikato, 3214 New Zealand (map)

Our first workshop for midwives!

We've had requests from a few midwives to be able to attend the Birth Trauma Support Workshops that we regularly run. Unfortunately, those workshops are not an appropriate learning space for midwives. So, instead, we're running a workshop specifically designed for midwives and midwifery students. Drawing on our knowledge and experience in the field of birth trauma support, including the voices of women who answered an extensive survey we conducted last year, we will provide insight into:

  • The causes and impacts of a traumatic birth
  • How midwives can minimise the occurrence of birth trauma
  • What midwives can do to support families who have experienced a traumatic birth

Join us for three hours of important learning. Cost: $25 - midwives, $15 - students. To register email carla@voiceforparents.co.nz
